My THIS is Better than your THAT

Here's the thing on the Linux/and or Mac folks vs the Windows folks.
Linux users are tinkerers. They can't imagine putting a piece of software on their system without having to F* with it. Windows people want to use the software for what the software does, not compile it, scour the source code, write a nasty letter to the code author(s) because they forgot to put a period at the end of sentence and etc... Mac people don't even care if it works, they just want it to look pretty. Linux users (how many different flavors of Linux is there now? 16 to the 16th power?)would rather make the software than actually use it. Why? Because to them the fun isn't actually using the software but seeing HOW it works. Windows users are less inclined to care HOW but that it just WORKS with minimal effort. Mac users don't even use their Pacs except to show them to their trendy friends so they can be "outside the box".
To the Linux people I say if you are paying for something you wouldn't expect to have to build it all first right? Your still paying for that "free" OS with your time.
Try seeing a car company stay afloat that gives you all the pieces but makes you build your car from scratch. There are a small few who would raher do that. The majority would not. These two types will never understand the other or agree. So how about we all agree to disagree? What I don't understand is why the Linux nerds and Mac heads have to come out of his/her natural habitats and poke the Windows users with their sticks? Sounds like the "My car is bigger than yours hence, I must have a bigger stick" syndrome. How often do you see Windows users running into a Linux/Mac post and slamming them? Not often because A) They are too busy actually using their programs and B) What does it gain you? Do you feel that needy that you have to somehow justify to the world why you use an OS that's better used for Servers? Both of you go into your corners, use the software you prefer and let each person have their own choice without your own twisted sense of what is better. Take any two similar competing items and you always get this. Os vs OS. Game console vs game console, religion vs religion, on and on. Just shut the F* up and be happy with what you have and be grateful you have a freaking choice. For the record I could care less what you call my OS. As long as it does what I pay for, be it time or money, then I'm happy with it.
